FAQs

Students should ideally start the France study process 3 to 4 months in advance. The process begins with shortlisting universities and courses, followed by submitting applications through Campus France or directly to universities. After receiving an offer letter, students must complete the Campus France interview, apply for a student visa, and then prepare for travel and accommodation. Proper documentation, timely payments, and early planning are essential for a smooth and successful application.

Students are required to show proof of one year of tuition fees plus one year of living expenses.
Living expenses are estimated as follows:

Paris: approximately €850 per month (about €10,200 per year)

Outside Paris: approximately €700 per month (about €8,400 per year)

These amounts cover basic living costs such as accommodation, food, transport, and personal expenses.

No, French language is not mandatory for all programs. Many universities offer English-taught courses, especially at the master’s and MBA levels. However, learning basic French is highly recommended for daily life, part-time work, and better cultural integration.

Students usually arrange accommodation after receiving their offer letter and visa approval, with options including student residences, private housing, or shared apartments. Health insurance is mandatory and must be arranged before or after arrival as per university and visa requirements. Flight tickets are generally booked after visa approval to avoid financial risk, ensuring confirmed travel plans.

The Campus France process typically takes 18 to 32 days, provided that all required documents are submitted correctly and there are no delays in verification or appointments.
